恰克是玛雅人的雨神，在玛雅的雕刻和书籍里，他常被画成长着长长卷鼻子的样子，手里握着象征闪电的斧头。墨西哥尤卡坦半岛的卡巴遗址有一座宫殿，正面墙上布满了数百个恰克的石雕面具，因此被叫作「面具宫」。

Chaac is the Maya god of rain. In Maya carvings and books he is often shown with a long curling nose, holding an axe that stands for lightning. At the site of Kabah on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, one palace has a front wall covered with hundreds of stone masks of Chaac, so it is called the Palace of Masks.

恰克的信仰并没有随着古代玛雅城邦一起消失。直到今天，墨西哥尤卡坦半岛的一些玛雅农民遇到干旱时，仍会举行一种叫「恰-恰克」的求雨仪式，用玉米做成的食物和饮品祭献雨神，祈求雨水滋润庄稼。

Belief in Chaac did not disappear with the ancient Maya cities. Even today, when drought comes, some Maya farmers on the Yucatan Peninsula still hold a rain ceremony called Cha Chaac, offering food and drink made from maize to the rain god and praying for rain to water their crops.
