The legend of La Befana has been told in Italy for centuries. Every year on the night of January 5th, children across Italy hang up their stockings, waiting for her arrival. Today, Romes Piazza Navona holds a grand Befana market every Epiphany eve, just as lively as Christmas itself.

传说意大利有位老女巫贝法娜，因为忙着打扫房子，错过了跟随星星去寻找一位刚出生婴儿的机会，从此她每年都骑着扫帚，挨家挨户寻找那个孩子。

Legend says an old woman named La Befana, busy sweeping her house, missed the chance to follow a star to a newborn child. From then on, every year she flies from house to house on her broomstick, searching for that child.
