This time, we travel to southern Africa to hear a creation story passed down for generations among the Zulu people. Its central figure is uMvelinqangi, the sky father whose name means "the one who came first" — to this day he is still sincerely honored by the Zulu, Xhosa, Ndebele and other peoples, making this a living tradition rather than a distant legend.

这个故事和以往的创世神话不太一样——它没有对手，没有战斗，只有一件事：从无到有的"创造"。祖鲁人相信，世间万物，最初都从同一个地方走出来，这也是他们文化里"人人皆兄弟"这一观念的源头。

This story is a little different from many other creation myths — there is no rival, no battle, only one thing: creation, bringing something out of nothing. The Zulu believe that everything in the world first stepped out from the very same place, and this is also the root of the idea, shared across their culture, that all people are, in a sense, siblings.
