This time, we travel to southern Africa to hear a creation story passed down for generations among the Zulu people. Its central figure is uMvelinqangi, the sky father whose name means "the one who came first" — to this day he is still sincerely honored by the Zulu, Xhosa, Ndebele and other peoples, making this a living tradition rather than a distant legend.

祖鲁人的传说说，第一个人「乌恩库伦库卢」和最早的人们，都是从一片芦苇丛中走出来的，所以祖鲁语里「芦苇」也带有「起源」的意思。这个故事没有战斗，只有从无到有的创造，和南部非洲常说的「乌班图」精神，也就是「我们因彼此而存在」，有着相通的气质。

Zulu tradition says that the first man, Unkulunkulu, and the first people all came out of a bed of reeds, so in Zulu the word for reed also carries the sense of origin. The story has no battles, only creation out of nothing, and it shares something with the southern African idea of ubuntu: I am because we are.
