《手套》（乌克兰语原名Рукавичка）是一则至今仍在乌克兰广为流传的经典民间故事。最早的文字记录可追溯到19世纪：民俗学家帕夫洛·丘宾斯基（1872-78年）和伊万·鲁德钦科（1869-70年）是最早系统收录整理这则故事的人。故事讲一位老爷爷掉了一只手套在雪地里，各种动物依次发现这只手套、请求进去躲避严寒。

The Mitten (Ukrainian: Рукавичка) is a beloved folktale still widely told across Ukraine today. Its earliest written records date to the 19th century: folklorists Pavlo Chubynsky (1872-78) and Ivan Rudchenko (1869-70) were among the first to systematically collect and record it. The tale follows an old grandfather who loses a mitten in the snow, which one animal after another discovers and asks to shelter inside from the cold.

这个故事后来被翻译成英、日、法、德、俄等多种语言，走向了世界：其中最广为人知的英语改编版本，是美国插画家扬·布雷特于1989年出版的绘本；更早还有阿尔文·特雷塞尔特配乌克兰裔插画家雅罗斯拉娃绘图的版本，1964年首次出版。1996年，乌克兰动画制片厂还专门制作了同名动画短片；2001年，乌克兰邮政更发行了以这个故事为主题的邮票，足见它在乌克兰文化中的分量。

It later traveled the world through translations into English, Japanese, French, German, and Russian — the best-known English-language version being American illustrator Jan Brett's 1989 picture book. An earlier version, retold by Alvin Tresselt with illustrations by Ukrainian-American artist Yaroslava, was first published in 1964. In 1996, a Ukrainian animation studio produced a short film based on the tale; and in 2001, Ukraine's postal service issued it as a postage stamp — a mark of how deeply it's woven into Ukrainian culture.
