The Kojiki is Japan's oldest surviving history book, compiled over 1,300 years ago, recording the stories of countless gods in Japanese mythology. These stories are more than legend — even today, shrines across Japan are dedicated to the very gods that appear in its pages, and people still visit them to pray.

传说因幡国海边住着一只白兔，为了渡海去对岸，骗鲨鱼群排成一队当"桥"，结果得意忘形说漏了嘴，被最后一条鲨鱼咬掉了全身的毛皮，浑身赤裸地倒在了沙滩上。

Legend tells of a white rabbit living by the shore of Inaba, who tricked a school of sharks into lining up as a “bridge” so it could cross the sea. But it got carried away and let its trick slip out loud — and the last shark, furious, bit off all its fur, leaving it bare and wounded on the beach.
