《古事记》是日本现存最古老的史书，成书于一千三百多年前，记录了日本神话中众多神祇的故事。这些故事不只是传说——今天在日本各地，仍有许多神社专门供奉书中出现的神明，人们依然会去参拜祈愿。

The Kojiki is Japan's oldest surviving history book, compiled over 1,300 years ago, recording the stories of countless gods in Japanese mythology. These stories are more than legend — even today, shrines across Japan are dedicated to the very gods that appear in its pages, and people still visit them to pray.

故事里帮助白兔的神，就是日本神话中的大国主神，出云大社供奉的正是他。鸟取县鸟取市的海边有一座白兔神社，相传就建在白兔上岸的地方，附近的海岸也因此被叫作「白兔海岸」。

The god who helps the white rabbit in the story is Okuninushi, the god honoured at Izumo Grand Shrine. On the coast of Tottori City in Tottori Prefecture stands Hakuto Shrine, the White Rabbit Shrine, said to be built where the rabbit came ashore, and the nearby coast is called the White Rabbit Coast.
